I try to get Vada to have two 2 hour sleeps during the day, She doesn't always get this memo. Today she woke after 45 minutes so I strapped her in the ring sling to try to encourage a little more shut eye. Then I decided she looked so cute that we should take some photos in the mirror. This sounded like way more fun to her than sleeping.

Vada is the fairest of them all!

I've been wanting to capture Vada looking at herself in the mirror for a while now. As she's not sitting on her own yet, it has been quite hard. So today I put a mirror on the floor and let her reflect for as long as she wanted. The baby staring back eventually said something mean and it all ended in tears.

Yet another single photo of Zavia day. He was so busy all day today. Way too busy to pose for me. I got this shot as he was running past me on a very round about way to the bathroom to fill up his cup to water the plants outside. I offered several times to fill up the watering can for him...but he insisted he could do it this way.

Vada is totally smitten with Poppy. We are visiting Poppy everyday to keep her company while her family is away and it is the highlight of Vadas day. Poppy likes to sneek up on Vada and pounce on her head which makes Vada squeel with delight.

I consciously made an effort to take lots of photos of Vadas gummy smile today. I suspect she will have 2 bunny teeth emerge any day now. This was an easy task for me as she is always grinning from ear to ear...even amongst the teething discomfort.

Snail

She reminds me of a snail when she pulls this face. I had a toy when I was little that was a plastic snail that had a key to open the snail shell...I'm sure it had a name but I can't remember it right now. Vada reminds me of this very toy. Sometimes I feel like I've opened up her shell with a key and placed my heart inside. And she takes care of my heart well.
