Sleepy pants

Last Saturday we were without Ben...AGAIN! He has been working really hard lately and we haven't had him around much...but that is totally beside the point. With two kiddies in tow and boredom setting in, I decided it would be a good idea to hit up spotlight. I got a few patterns for clothes for Vada (my first ever patterns btw) and went to look for material for her new to-be-outfits. Searching through the endless mountains of fabrics, Zavia spotted some crazy tie-dyed rayon that he simply would not let me leave without. He kept yelling..."my terial my terial" until I gave in and said..."Ok ok, Ill make you a teddy bear out of it." He was happy as larry.
So today we had my niece and nephews over for a play which gave me the perfect opportunity to whip up a little something for Zavia out of his much loved 'terial' while he happily played with his cousins. I hate to think what he would have been like if his cousins weren't around to distract him...I would have been asked a billion times if it was finished yet Im sure. I finally decided to make him some pj pants by modifying Vada's bloomer pattern. They worked out better than I expected both in appearance and functionality...by that I mean, he was so happy to wear them that he went straight to bed for his day sleep and tonight at bedtime because he was wearing his special sleepy pants.
